Speculation[]
It seems likely that all three are connected. Potentially, it could be a reference back to Code 01 involving the "disease" infecting Lady Macbeth, or the focus on blood.
- Revelation: "And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood."
- CW Agents: "Blister agents are used to cause medical casualties; they affect the eyes and lungs and blister the skin. ... Blood agents are absorbed into the body primarily by breathing; they prevent the normal utilization of oxygen by the cells and cause rapid damage to body tissues. ... G-series nerve agents, developed in the 1930s, cause paralysis of the respiratory musculature and subsequent death, in sufficient concentration."
Alternatively, the four codes could be linked in a reference to the enacting of some deity's vengeance upon mankind for its misdeeds.
Even in Revelation, the people are said to have "blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds" which concurs with Lady Macbeth's concern with removing the guilt she feels rather than repent, saying "What’s done cannot be undone. To bed, to bed, to bed."
