The Person of Interest title sequence premiered at the start of the first season's second episode, “Ghosts”. It features surveillance shots, overlaid with information by the Machine, and a voiceover narration of Finch explaining the basics of the Machine.
The sequence opens with a scene at Union Square. At the end of the sequence, the episode's Person of Interest is shown.
Finch's narration[]
“ | You are being watched. The government has a secret system — a machine — that spies on you every hour of every day. I know, because I built it. I designed the machine to detect acts of terror, but it sees everything. Violent crimes involving ordinary people. People like you. Crimes the government considered irrelevant. They wouldn't act, so I decided I would. But I needed a partner, someone with the skills to intervene. Hunted by the authorities, we work in secret. You'll never find us. But, victim or perpetrator, if your number's up, we'll find you. | ” |

Updated Title[]
Starting with “Matsya Nyaya” a slightly altered title sequence is used. When Finch's narration refers to "a partner," more specifically when he refers to "someone with the skills to intervene", Carter is shown shortly after Reese. When he talks about them being "hunted by the authorities," a clip from “Number Crunch” with Reese being shot by Mark Snow and Tyrell Evans is shown.
Fusco[]
Moreover, Fusco has been added to the main character preview.
