  • Hello, as you may have noticed, I wrote a suggestion at Talk:The Machine. As you are an admin here, would you like to comment about that? Thanks.

  • A computer is a specific tool...and you would need that too. The 4k screen makes it easier to see larger pixels. Regardless of original broadcast quality, with a 4k screen the image will always be clearer because of how close the pixels have to be. I believe it's referred to as a footprint. I will not go out of my way to purchase you a computer monitor, as that would be the only way to displace the 4k burden I apparently have. If someone is using an apple 2, it's not on me that they can't see the image. The same follows for screen quality upwards to 4k. Also, why would they go through the effort to design an inaccurate copy of a death certificate? Both the outlines of Thomas are visible. From what I've just come to find, virtually all death certificates, very much including Iowa, are "first, middle, last." So the assumption that Thomas would be a first name for him is not well founded.

  • Says you, it's not sufficiently clear. Just because You can't read it, doesn't mean it is not "sufficiently" clear. Both his father's and grandfather's name are visible enough to infer the letters. Try looking at it on a 4k screen.

    • Sorry, I don't have access to a 4K screen, nothing was said about the name at the time of broadcast, and the burden is on you to satisfy others that the name is correct.

    • I burden you then to look at the image with a 4k screen.

    • No, it's not. You're attempting to add information based on an episode based on an external source that requires a specific tool (the 4K screen), not on what was broadcast and easily seen/understood by viewers. That places the burden on you. You now have my position as an editor and as an administrator on the site. Please continue to discuss on the discussion thread.

  • The guy with that name keeps making edits that make no sense such as removing the categories from the bottom of some pages like the Kara Stanton page and the appearances list.

    • You never know. He might be part of a longer-term plot, or just free up Andy for an off-duty storyline while he's recovering.

Well I hope he's gonna remain part of the show. Would be cool to have a new character and he seemed like a good guy. I was just worried he was being written in to replace Andy. Sometimes shows write out major characters like that. On one of my other favorite shows they killed off two fan favorite characters. Fans are still pissed about that as far as I know and one was five years ago!!! On another show they apparently killed off a main character. That got really complicated though. It also starred Mary McDonnell by the way. I knew her from there before I saw her in MC fyi. The pervy photographer guy from early season 4, the one they threatened to charge with terrorism if he didn't take a manslaughter deal was played by one of her co-stars. He spoke with an American accent in the other show but is in fact British.

  • Or anyone else noticed there appears to be a coded message in the window shades of season 4 episode  5 Prophet. There is a man about to jump off the roof and if you noticed the window shades in the building across for him appear to be set in a specific sequence. A sequence plays on multiple angles. It would be awesome if someone could figure out this message. The window shade placements appear to be very purposeful.

    • It's possible. Why don't you try to figure it out? This is a fan site, and we're not connected to the network, so we know as much as you do.

    • This is why I posted this message on this fan site thinking there may be someone out there that may be able to solve it. IF I knew how to figure it out, I would have not posted this. Since you are an amin to the site, I thought you may have a better idea where to move it for others to view. Thank you for your assistance.

  • The tense forms on the Sven Vanger page in the History section were universally past derived, with the exception of the two I changed. Why did you revert those to present tenses?

  • My wife and I are watching Leverage back through and I have to know if Sophies' real name was said or given away?  Can you tell me if it was and what it is/was?  Thanks.

  • Hi Leverage!

    How are you?

Summaries for 11 of the 13 episodes for Season 5 are up - QSO and Reassortment to come - and need help in formatting as per as the high standards for Summaries for previous seasons.

    Thanks,

    RNXT

  • Do you happen to know the date Samaritan was destroyed?

  • On the Machine/People page, Ross Garrison is said not to be one of the seven people who originally knew about the Machine. However, Alicia Corwin mentions this group in a flashbach to 2009 and in "Death Benefit", Greer indicates Garrison knew of the Machine in 2008 ("I thought you knew a great deal about it, especially since the 2008 policy retreat on Martha's Vineyard, when you were tapped to sheperd the program.") Ergo my question is wether Ross Garrison should be listed under the original seven or under people who learned about the Machine's existence later.

    • It was pretty clear from dialogue during S2 (I can't recall the episode, but around the time they introduced Shaw) that Garrison was read in quite early, but wasn't one of the original seven. He was in charge of the Northern Lights, but not fully briefed on the technical aspects. We talked this all through when the episodes were current.

The seven/eight confusion is that Finch was never officially part of the project; Nathan slips in one scene with Alicia Corwin and refers to original eight versus seven, and she catches him. That makes it clear that Finch wasn't brought into the project; he was in on it from the start, although it's correct that Nathan Ingram knew he couldn't build the Machine alone. They were partners, but Finch was always in the background because of whatever it is that he did way back in the 70s.
