  • My image of the depicted router was more blurry after looking at the replacement.  Nice to see this site gets some attention seeing as CBS cancelled the show...Really looking forward to the last episode though.  I am curious though how you got your image if you are willing to give up your secret. From the file name it looked like we might have both been working form different copies of the same video.  Have not yet checked out the Mr. Robot wikia but got it open in another tab right now...looking forward to it's second season.

    • This show definitely deserves the attention. Even though I'm sad it's cancelled, I accept it. I'm just glad that they were given a chance for a closure.

I think the reason your image has more motion blur is that you must have saved it a few frames earlier than I did. Thanks for uploading it anyway! I was unable to replace it (instead of deleting and reuploading) because your image is a JPEG and mine is a PNG. I prefer PNGs for uploads because it's lossless, therefore they can be resized by wikia (to thumbnails for instance) with slightly less degradation.

  • Hey, buddy! You've been busy, and it looks great. When you have a minute, would you mind linking up the Season 5 recurring characters portal to the main recurring portal? I'm at the limit of my know-how, and can't figure out how to do it. Meawwhile, I've updated the main page and begun adding recurring characters. I have a feeling we'll end up having to edit a bit before the season ends. Thanks!

  • Good idea. Ditto Shaw. Can you think of any others that should be locked?

  • Hello -

I just want to start off by saying that I'm so glad there's another person who loves this TV show as much as I do and I love your dedication to the show.

It's kinda cool to see those symbols used by The Machine and Samaritan and it really helped me (and my grandparents) understand the show throughout the series' history, and understanding the plot based on how the Artificial Inteligent machines think.

I would love to know what program you used for making those sybols based on screenshots.

Speaking of which, I just happened to see the Behind the Scenes preview of the first epidsode of Season 5 and it shows that Samaritan has a new classification for "Enemy Combatents". You can find the link for the video on Person of Interest's offcial YouTube channel and the image posted below.

Thanks and I love your work!

  • Hey just wanted to say Thanks Alot for uploading those 3 designations for me! I'd been trying for a while with no luck!

  • Hi, I have a question regarding the Season 4 flashbacks page.  I added some summaries and was wondering should Terra Incognita be added to the list?  Mostly a clarification issue, since I know most of the episode is a Reese fever dream.

      Loading editor
    • Thank you for adding the summaries!

That's a good question. As far as I can remember, even the subject of flashback in the episode's infobox was frequently changed back and forth between Carter and Reese after the broadcast. The episode notes explain why it's Reese.

Anyway, I think we should have the episode on the list. I added it with a link to the summary page. Feel free to expand the row with a few sentences.

    • Awesome, thanks for the clarification!

  • We're trying to get the Mr. Robot wiki into shape, but I've got template issues. Could I direct your formidable skills over there when you have a few minutes to spare? I'm trying to get Ep, Crossref and Character2 working. Character2 is fine aside from not displaying the episode names (see: http://mrrobot.wikia.com/wiki/Terry_Colby). Ep doesn't work at all, and Crossref shows some odd error message on the doc page even though I brought both of them word-for-word from here. Sigh... Thank you!

    • It must be the "image" parameter being lowercase. Template parameters are case-sensitive.

Fixed. If you run into any other issue, feel free to message me over there.

  • Would you be willing to help sort out a coding error on another wiki where I'm the admin? I'm beyond my skill level.

  • PTX, help! Claire and I have talked a couple times about restricting who can add a quote to the article as we do the main image and a couple other things. A couple times, we've had editors (recently an IP) mass-add fairly random looking quotes to some articles, and one or two edit wars over quotes. What we need is a template like the L template that would restrict who can add a quote to those of us who are administrators. Could you put something like that together? I'd like to clean up the quotes over the summer hiatus, and junk a bunch the don't convey the story and/or theme of the episode to the reader.

  • Hey, PTX! Nice to see you settling in and grasping the reigns as admin quickly -- be fearless!

That said, I wanted to explain the whole Machine/Samaritan Point of View note we add to each episode article. What we intended is to note which machine is, essentially, telling the story. We'll often see them both, but in the case of 413, the Machine was telling the story; we just saw Samaritan briefly when it came back online. What we're trying to avoid is keeping track of how much we saw one versus the other. We just want to note which AI was the dominant voice. The only episode where they really both told the story was 408 (I think it was), where Lambert was so pivotal.

Anyway, we chat on IRC in the evenings U.S. time and try to work this stuff out. Drop in if you can -- the time thing can be hideous, I know!!

    • Hello LG, thanks for the encouragement!

Your explanation clears it up a lot. However, I still think that it would be nice to keep track of the MPOV/SPOV appearances (or absence speaking about the Machine) somewhere; maybe in their articles, since a new one would probably be unnecessary. But then, I might be a bit obsessed about this. :)

    • I can see where that would be useful. We were trying to avoid bean-counting (a little Samaritan, lots of Machine) in the opening statement, but what we do elsewhere is a different story.
